Podcast Episode 13 – The Inspiration behind Children’s Picture Book Author Ruth Don Shevlin’s top-rated books
Episode 13 introduces you to Ruth Don Shevlin, a two-time top-rated children’s book author. Ruth has been writing stories since she was a little girl. She was a copywriter, proofreader and photographer for ad agencies in Chicago. In Florida, where she raised her daughters, she was a theater proofreader, taught preschool and volunteered with the Head Start Program. Art was a highlight early in Ruth’s life. Now retired, she lives just outside of Philadelphia Pennsylvania near her family with her 35-year-old ornate box turtle, KC.
She is the author and illustrator of two books titled, “Rebecca’s Dream That Wasn’t” and “Esmeralda and the Lollipop Tree.” Her books teach children to overcome their fears and learn the importance of sharing with others. To connect with Ruth, visit rdschildrensbooks.com.
